Yes, it is effective against any microorganism, virus or bacteria in the air.

Several scientific studies indicate that, as with SARS-COV-1, one of the main transmission mechanisms of SARS-COV-2 is through air contaminated with microdroplets from infected persons. These micro-droplets get into the air by speaking, exhaling, sneezing or coughing, and they suspend the virus for up to 3 hours.(1)

The air with viral microdroplets are at body temperature (36.5ºC) and much warmer than room temperature (20-22ºC), so they rise and disperse to the upper part of the room. When an upper irradiated UVGI sterilization product is installed in this room, the Ultraviolet C Light emitted by the product in the upper zone will disinfect the infectious air, eliminate the viruses contained in it, and prevent the healthy people in the room from being infected. AP-AC UVGI sterilization products reduce the risk of transmission of airborne diseases.
